Masha Cermak originally Masha Palenkova, was born in
lower-class Russia to her parents and older sister in June 1986. Her life was turbulent from the start, being pushed aside and neglected as a small child in part due to her chaotic environment.
Her mother using unethical, degrading, illegal means such as drug trafficking as well as prostitution to keep her family afloat while her father worked as a coal miner.

Masha and her family (excluding her father) immigrated to the United States in 1994, moving Koval, Colorado (U.S), a weird small city/town in northern Colorado near Fort Collins.

Entering the United States at the age of 8 after being in a chaotic environment in a different country was quite stressful for an 8 year old who barely knew any English. Despite her circumstances, she appeared relatively average from the outside, somewhat stand-off-ish but relatively friendly.

Masha made quite a few friends and became quite social when adapting to her environment.

Masha's teenage years, despite having a supportive friend group and an active social life, were troublesome, often acting out as a result of physical abuse.
The already existing turmoil between Masha and Catherine worsened as she got to her teens, the lengths she suffered escalated.

As a teenager, Masha became short-tempered and physically aggressive. The aggression came from the teenager putting up with years of physical abuse from her older sister Catherine. After putting up with physical abuse for most of her life, she decided to fight back, in turn, this made Catherine much more aggressive. The aggressive fights were often witnessed by their younger sister and mother in which, her mother didn't do anything, thinking that it can all just resolve on its own.

Putting the negatives aside, Masha would pick up on writing and cooking. The fanfictions being about various different girls she had crushes on alongside herself or a self-insert.

Masha, struggling with depression and PTSD, untreated no less, unsurprisingly led her to turn to unhealthy and/or dangerous ways to manage it all.

Masha almost exclusively oversized clothes as a means of hiding her body and covering scars from cutting. Most being on her legs.
Her habit would eventually be found out by her mother causing her to be shamed and threatened with being institutionalized and was frequently checked for any new scars.

Masha was criticized for being overweight by her peers and family, she was placed on a strict diet though, this wouldn't last for more than a couple of months and she would often seek food elsewhere. She would eat in abundance which caused her to feel sick and force herself to vomit. She would purge so frequently that it started to impact her voice but, no one in her family questioned it.

The latest and final remedy she would end up resorting to was pills. Though this started as smoking a few joints a week, she rejected this for no longer being effective. Masha resorted to to abusing opiates such as Vicodin and klonopin. This would all cause a massive downturn in her life staring with her getting fired from her job.

Masha's social life was pretty good aside from being occasionally picked on for her weight, aside from that, she was well liked due to her seemingly laid back personality.
Though, she was keeping a secret. She had a girlfriend. Vicky was Masha's girlfriend for close to a year, secretly. Masha was terrified at the thought of more than 2 people knowing she was gay. Not just because of being compared to Ellen DeGeneres but also harassment. Though this could only last for so long.

Rumors of her being a pervert and a creep, which would worsen when she was outed as a lesbian. Almost no one thought twice about this and believed this. All of the rumors being spread at the hands of someone with connections to her older sister Catherine would severely damage her reputation and isolate her.

With her life falling apart, Masha would develop multiple unhealthy coping mechanisms and further ruining her life.

Despite trying to keep her laid back, sarcastic attitude, her facade started to crack especially with being fired from her job and nonstop harassment from her peers.

After randomly disappearing on people for 2 weeks, she would randomly show up to Dill's house. It felt awkward and Masha was acting unusual, suddenly leaving after 30 minutes. On the day of her death, she on a high amount klonopin after attempting to calm herself down, clearly this didn't work.

The teenager carjacked, shooting the person inside in a blind (partially) drug induced rage, crashing into another individual into a pole and shooting someone who confronted her. Masha had enough with all she had to put up with from Catherine and shot her, though she would end up surviving.
Masha would end up killing 3 people, nearly killing another, and killing herself.

Masha's murders were covered by the media and gained widespread attraction. This met with public vitriol and wide-spread condemnation, though, some did express sympathy.

Her gained widespread attention, not just because her murder was the first ever murder in the last 30 years but nationwide. Things including a LiveJournal, tape recordings and eventually crime scene photos were eventually put out.

The 17-year-old was notable not just for being a teenage girl who killed 3 people but for her internet presence spanning as early as 2001. Which for the time, was a big deal. Her life was public on an old LiveJournal that was traced directly to her, making a lot of her life public.

Catherine, after being injured, spoke of how mentally deranged Masha was and that she was constantly making her life hell and generally lying and being highly hypocritical. Though, with the act of being traumatized by the actions of her younger sister, constantly crying for reporters and acting scared, it was very believable to most people.

It’s common to be morbidly curious about murder cases or even the murder themselves. There was one woman though who became very interested in the whole ordeal, thinking that nothing being reported was adding up so, the only way was to go directly to the source.

A woman would develop a morbid curiosity that couldn't just be unanswered. She needed answers directly.

This woman's name was Quinn. Quinn would take Masha's corpse and began to run tests seeing if she was able to actually bring her back from the dead for questioning and running tests on her.

Short in stature and overweight. Pale with shoulder neck-length blonde hair styled in a side part.

Her skin has a grey-ish hue with a couple of skin grafts on the left of her face and some stiches on her arms

She primarily wears a dark green tank top, brown cargo skirt, platformed loafers (stolen), cheap fishnet arm warmers along with wearing chipped light-blue nail polish.

Sarcastic with a dry sense of humor. Funny and a but stubborn. Can be aggressive though, cares a lot about her friends.
