Catherine Palenkova Cermak was born in poor urban Russia in March of 1983 to her (at the time) 17-year-old mother and her 24-year-old father. With Catherine came her younger sister Masha in 1986.

At 3 years old Catherine would later be given a younger sister, Masha, who she had the habit of antagonizing.
Catherine was forbidden to be near her at all for the first couple of years because of her behavior towards Masha.
Even with the amount of attention Olga paid to keep Catherine away from her, she would end up becoming somewhat negligent as time progressed.
With time, Catherine started school and was noted to be shy and showing anti-social behavior. Other children teased her for being "weird" and were generally creeped out by her.
Catherine was a seemingly normal albeit quiet child. This would change however when she was seen drawing dead animals alongside expressing self-destructive behavior.
Her mother would take her to a number of child psychologists try to get Catherine a diagnosis. Though, most appointments didn't go anywhere, Catherine refused to speak to them.
After years without intervention from psychologists, her mother would find an answer.
Catherine had been repeatedly molested by her father, explaining a lot of her anti-social behavior and aversion to any kind of touch, not only that but also why she hated Masha so much.
The hatred of her younger sister stemmed from a 5-year-old Masha witnessing the abuse and not understanding what was happening or doing anything to stop it, in turn, seeing her just as bad as their father.
At the age of 11, her family immigrated to the United States in 1994, moving Koval, Colorado (U.S). A town in northern Colorado, specifically near Fort Collins.
ADOLESCENCE
Catherine initially aspired to be a poet but that pivoted to wanting to be an activist.
Catherine became jealous of Masha because of how likable and easy going she was.
Catherine was not well liked because of her general attitude and other people thinking she was weird.
Catherine would be mocked by her peers for her thick accent and her attempts to defend herself against their remarks to no avail.
High school would be when she would gain a close group of friends. Catherine would meet two girls from a school club she was in.
Catherine became more respected in the girls' advocacy group she was in and used this as an opportunity to spread hatred for her sister.
Catherine hated Masha so much that she was willing to ruin her life in every way possible. Afterall, she was already beating her and psychologically torturing her, why not involve everyone else too?
ADULTHOOD
Catherine's mental issues worsened as a young adult and became more aggressive towards her family and Masha especially, often beating her to a pulp.
Being an adult, Catherine was very immature. Catherine went up to one of her peers after rumors spread about Masha's supposedly perverted behavior, paying this person over 200 dollars to spread elaborate rumors.
Masha would be isolated and alone due to this.
Catherine made Masha's life (and everyone else's) a living hell, Catherine would be shot in her right shoulder in response to her actions. Masha would die shortly after.
AFTERMATH
With Masha being dead, Catherine could say whatever she wanted and people would believe it without any contradiction.
