BACKGROUND

Catherine Palenkova Cermak was born in lower class Russia along side her mother Olga and her father [REDACTED].
Catherine was a colic baby, which made her mother's already stressful life even more stressful, worsened by the fact that her mother attempted to abort her before realizing it was too late.
The first few years of Catherine's life were characterized by violent tantrums triggered by subtle changes, such as her mother wearing a different color or wearing makeup.
Aside from overtly negative traits, she was a very quiet child who was very articulate for someone her age.

Catherine would be an only child until June of 1986 when her younger sister Masha was born.
Olga (mother) viewed having another child as a second chance since Catherine was very difficult.

The relationship between Catherine and he younger sister was atypical from the start.
Young Catherine would often pinch her sister so hard to the point where she would scream and cry, thinking it was funny. Due to this, Catherine was often insisted that she to be nowhere near Masha without supervision, though, this did little to stop 6 year-old Catherine.

Catherine's generally aggressive behavior worsened at the age of 7 when she was being repeatedly molested by her father, leading to her being terrified of her father alongside early stages of self-mutilation.

Catherine's abuse was once witnessed by an oblivious 5 year-old Masha, Catherine catching a glimpse of her before their father noticed and threatened to kill her if she told. Since then, Catherine has held a vendetta against her for not doing anything.
Instead of blaming her father for what happened to her, she switched the primary blame to her sister, despite her age and the fact that she would come to not have any recollection of the event as Masha got older.
